The Ranger Militia

Hey all,

Within the coming week, TRS will be moving to a new server. During the move I will have to shut down the forum and set it back up on the new server. We will not be losing any of the posts/members when we move.

Feel free to use this forum to stay connected during the transitions.

Thanks,

Jim Oaks

Thanks Jim, You had to do this on a day that I'm home sick!!!

...and my day off, when I most need the wisdom of our fine fellowship of members...

Man, I never realized how much I am addicted to TRS until it's gone for 2 days.

I have a problem...

im lost without trs

I have the forum working (sort of) on the new server. It took most of yesterday and today to get the database to work with the move.

There are still a few problems/bugs to work out. Mostly an issue with plugins (modifications) I've added to the forum over the years. Something is causing an error to show up at the top of the forum page and I'm still trying to figure it out.

I am getting a page not found error right now.  I assume it is because you are tweaking things?

How's it coming? I'm still unable to access info? Fun stuff,eh?

I'm having TRS withdrawals

You need to double up on the meds DG.

I made a few attempts to update the forum to the latest version of vbulletin and install (2) new forum themes that I purchased. No go. I am now re-installing the old version we've been using and hope to have it running in the next hour.

If it doesn't work, I'm going to turn the existing forum back on.

The only other thing I can think of is to get it running on the new server as vbulletin 3.8.6, make a copy of it, and then uninstall all the plugins / modifications fom it, and then upgrade it to 4.1.10.

Either way, I have to have something up and running by Saturday morning because Vanessa's birthday is Sunday, and I have plans with her Saturday and Sunday.

Un-freaking-believable.

Our current vbulletin 3.8.6 won't run on the new server because the server uses PHP 5.3. It needs an older PHP version.

God I'm tired.
