Ford 2.8 hesitation

My ford ranger has a 2.8 hesitation when i step own the gas or when were cruising down the highway. i have replaced the whole muffler system and catylitic converter, o2 sensor, rebuilt the carburetur and tuned it, replace the transmision, Coil, spark plugs, cap and rotor, battery, replaced the axle fluid,check the timing and i still got the hesitation to it. Wonder if any one ever had this problem or how to solve this problem?
